Tennis, padel and squash access-control FAQ
Practical answers for sports clubs: temporary court codes, lighting schedules, gate installation, booking integrations and Neop equipment support.
Codes & access
The temporary code is usually sent by email, free of charge. Text messages can also be enabled using prepaid SMS credits, for example just for paid hourly bookings.
No. Each booking has a new temporary code, valid only during the booked time slot. You can also create individual player codes from the platform.
If they arrive late within their booked slot, the code is already active. Early access depends on the buffer your club sets before and after bookings.
Yes. They are recommended for staff and committee members, and as a backup if a network issue prevents a temporary code from working. Instant-access badges are also available for coaches and regular users.
Yes. Recurring codes keep the same value but work only on selected days and times, with school holidays excluded if needed. You can also set an expiry date or delete a code when it is no longer needed.
Yes. The Neop app can issue an instant code for temporary access. Permanent codes provide a further backup for more critical situations.
Yes. The booked court is linked to the club entrance, so the same code works along the access route. It can also open the changing rooms shortly before and after play.
Yes. The Neop platform keeps a complete access history for players and committee members for two months.
Lighting
A connected module, supplied in an enclosure or fitted in your electrical panel, controls relay contacts. When a player enters, the lock alerts the module, which checks the live schedule and turns on the lights for the booking.
Your club chooses: exactly when the booking ends, or 5 to 10 minutes later. We recommend a 5-minute buffer to give players time to leave.
Yes. Manual override buttons can be installed in the clubhouse or assigned to a staff member, and also provide a backup. An optional switch lets players turn on the lights only when needed.
They simply make another booking: access and lighting follow the new time slot.
Installation
Yes. Around 70 to 80% of doors use standard dimensions and are straightforward to fit with our kits. Other doors require more installation work but can also be equipped.
There are two options. Wireless LoRa needs no cables to the locks but requires an internet connection at the clubhouse. SIM-based 4G equipment requires power, which can be supplied by a solar panel where mains power is unavailable.
Our equipment uses multi-network SIM cards to improve coverage. A clubhouse fibre connection can also provide internet access. Without fixed broadband and with poor mobile coverage, a connected installation needs closer assessment.
Yes. The SIM card is configured as a backup if the Wi-Fi connection fails.
Many clubs install it with their own team. Each quote includes technical documents to help you assess the work. We also work with installation partners in several regions.
A sensor can monitor the door state, particularly with wired 4G equipment.
Subscription & software
The equipment is supplied configured for each court. The subscription includes support, maintenance, the platform and high-performance multi-network SIM cards.
No. Neop works with Balle Jaune, Anybuddy, Tennis Libre, Gestion Sports, Doinsport and more. API documentation is available to connect your own booking software to Neop.
Standard purchases include a two-year warranty. Rented equipment remains covered for the duration of the rental agreement.
